I agree, but we should still be selling Barrie. Just because you are a playoff team doesn't mean you aren't a seller. My theory is this:
If you take an honest look at your team, can you win the cup? The only wrong answer is 'I don't know.'
If the answer is yes, you should be buying. That could be rentals, that could be a hockey trade. If the answer is no, you should be selling pieces that don't fit into your plans long term.
For the Leafs, I think they are a good team, but not a full on cup contender (or at least moving Barrie would not hurt us depending on the return) so we should be moving Barrie. Try and use those assets to flip for another Dman (Brodin, Brodin, or Brodin) and plan for the future.
