Description

Do pens try and reunite Sheary right off the bat? Does Marleau get some Crosby minutes? I'd put those two as interchangeable for next game, thoughts? Or does Rust move back to right side and Hornqvist moves to 3rd with Marleau on Malkin's wing with Simon switching sides

The line of Tanev McCann and Marleau is unreal IMO. Blueger Erod and Simon is great as well.

Although pens fans hate seeing kahun gone this is a team built to win. The best player may have been lost in the trade but clearly GMJR is trading to WIN a cup this year.

none of this helps them win a cup.

Their biggest problem was not forwards. It's the defense that has been injured.
They need defensive depth and so far they didn't get it.

If they got both I love the depth at F now.

I think Kahun was starting to concern JR. His health was becoming a problem. Almost seemed like the minutes were wearing him down. Can't have that in the playoffs.

Well tbh other then Dillon+ the guys who were moved the other day I don’t think Andy Greene or Bogosian would have helped. I understand that but not do I think there’s many great choices to grab from left.

I'm not saying there was. What I am saying is, this doesn't fix what's wrong. It's reaching at straws.
The problem was never the forward group. Yeah they needed some bodies after the injuries but I think they expected people to be back.

Very possible. Let's hope Sheary finds his touch a bit more here and Rodrigues can fill in for Jugs until he is ready. Rodrigues, Jugs, and Mccann all being capable of playing on a wing or at center is nice to have as well.

For the other comments I see about the defense.. I think today was the best day for our defense. The fact that JR traded for 3 forwards and no D must mean the prognosis on Dumo and Marino is very positive.
