If depth moves can be considered highway robberies, then Anaheim just pulled one here.

Time to over-analyze a minor transaction just because it was my team.

Djoos had most likely been passed by Fehervary as the #8D, and GMBM thought it was best to add forward depth, which we needed more of. Sprong could play next year if he wants to and seems to have some nice raw offensive touch.

Both guys could become full-time NHLers but both are question marks. Both guys get a fresh start so i think it's a good deal for both sides.

Sprong is a head case. If he gets that straightened out good, but I wouldn't count on it.

I remember he was considered a top prospect with the Penguins. He still has potential.

He was a head case in Pittsburgh. Ignored what coaches told him and refused to improve himself thinking that he was already above listening to management.
Got thrown out the door by Pittsburgh.
Was a head case on Anaheim.
Waived. Cleared (no one wanted him for free). Sent to the minors, part of 6 player rotation for call-ups, none since January because he wasn't listening to staff or trying to improve.

I was one of those fans lol. I thought he'd be a good player, glad we traded him for Pettersson. That was a steal!!

Looking at this one deal, Sprong hasn’t been terrible with WSH, was glad he got out of Anaheim when I saw he didn’t make it out of camp in 19-20 Djoos was reeeee but now he’s in Detroit, but it isn’t as bad as being in the minors/7th-8th D, he’s happy so is sprong,
