Likely Persson didn't want to resign if the Oilers aren't giving him NHL time. Send him for somethig, why not? Only reason not to is to give your AHL team more of a chance at competing, but he also takes ice time away from other prospects.

Good add for Anaheim. Persson will get more ice-time in ANA and might actually grow from that.
