Description
Today's absolute failure to acquire a 2nd or even a 3rd line center illustrates the inability of GMBott to perform as a General Manager. There were two (or more) available that got moved and the prices were not insane. Now there are limited options available for the 2020 off season. 2nd line center is arguably the 2nd most valuable asset on a roster...but this team is full of 4th/5th line wingers...and limited draft and prospect capital...disgusting and embarrassing...

Horrible evaluation and lineup. It was a good TDL where they are at currently. They got rid of Rodrigues and Sheary for a prospect with good potential and got Simmonds for nothing that brings physicality

sabers had no business being buyers in tdl this year. no point in getting a 2nd line Center when playoff odds are 3% or so. kahun is good add, sheary and rod were not likely to be back. simmonds is a bit weird to add but a 5th is a very low price for him so oh well. they should have tried to get some value back for some of other UFAs but was not big market for forwards this year.

I know you're probably too stubborn and angry to look at this but it's been reported that we put in a stronger offer for Trocheck. Obviously you just don't understand that it takes two to tango to make a trade happen. Florida obviously didn't want to move him as we're breathing down their necks in the same division.

Pageau is a huge gamble given EVERY OTHER SEASON he has put up 30pts except for four years ago. If we paid a 1st, 2nd, 3rd for him you would've been on the same side of the fire Botts line.

Miserable excuse of a fan, go back to the cesspool that is Twitter hot takes.

1) a 1st & 2nd for a UFA to be in Pageau was a big overpay
-it’s great that NyI extended him, but who knows if he’d have been willing here?

2) It’s come out that FLA decided they didn’t wanna trade Trocheck in the division. Idk why they thought it was ok to move him to a team they’re competing for a WC spot against, but we can’t blame Botts if FLA just wasn’t gonna move him to us... just like last year TOR wasn’t sending Kadri here

3) Wennberg blows, and your idea to put him at 2C destroys any credibility you’ve got to take shots at a real life GM

Columbus accepts rather quickly... buffalo shouldn’t.

Though Wennberg doesn’t suck as bad as the person above thinks he does, he’s just too inconsistent to be an effective 2nd line center.
