How much for Domi

Team: 2019-20 Buffalo Sabres
Team Explanation
I know MTL could really use a help on defense.

I hear lefties is what they really need, but I doubt McCabe is gonna get the deal done. Miller is better and can play both sides, has some good cap control and age on his side. Laaksonen is a great offensive D prospect on the right side, although I'd be willing to change to Samuelsson, who's been excelling in the NCAA as a defensive lefty. 2nd to balance things out.

For the offseason. Knowing CapFriendly this is probably all wrong and I'm a waste of oxygen

Hard to tell. This aint it though. You also can't trade anything else - deadline's past.

Starts with Asplund. From there probably Montour and a first. MTL only interested in any of the BUF defense if Petry is moved though. Otherwise I can't see any other moves.

Cool, thanks for responding. I get that sometimes it doesn't line up.

Also yeah I know the deadline passed, I just got lazy and forgot to set it to 20-21. Cheers.

Your 2020 1st could be a strong piece if Buf got a pick between 8-15

I’m a Sabres fan, so I’ll be kind...
That’s not even close

And i doubt they’d trade him in the division anyways

Honestly don't see a fit. Apart from the obvious assets BUF wouldn't want to give up. (Cozens, their 1st rd picks, etc.) I don't see a prospect that stands out that would entice MTL to send Domi to a team in the same division. Doubt BUF would want to do a hockey trade either because again they wouldn't want to give them up (looks at Reinhart, Olofsson).

Habs trading Domi would be complicated. Going for a picks and prospects package makes little sense for MTL (since Domi is already a young asset), unless it's a top prospect of course, trading for someone who plays the same position as him makes little sense either. and trying to find someone who fills a team need (who plays D, who's the same age and worth about the same in value and is available to begin with) almost limits the market to nothingness.
