Had this drawn up before the deadline yesterday, so some players are currently injured and teams acquired positional needs elsewhere etc... *IM A CANUCKS FAN. I KNOW IM DELUSIONAL* lol

CAROLINA TRADE:
Mrazek and Reimer both go down Saturday night in Toronto. We all know the story. Markstrom on an expiring contract is playing the best hockey of his career. You swap goalies, but Marky is clearly superior to Reimer, so you add in Puistola and the 1st. But now it’s favouring Vancouver. You add Stecher, who’s also expiring, Lind, and a 1st from 2021 for a young stud in Necas.

MINNESOTA TRADE:
Here’s one that tugs at the heartstrings. With Boesers father in Minnesota and having a multitude of health issues, what better than being sent home to be with family.
I personally think 2 1sts would be a steal for Minnesota, even with the injuries Boeser has suffered in his young career. But after acquiring Necas who can play the wing and has 2yrs remaining on an ELC, you “dump” the cap and move Boeser home.

COLUMBUS TRADE: There were some rumblings about Baertschi going to Columbus. Vancouver would probably have to add a pick or retain or both for this to happen. Cap dump.

OTTAWA TRADE:
Oh Loui.... from the first time you scored your first goal for my Vancouver Canucks (an empty net own goal) I knew you weren’t the player we signed up for. After July 1, only $5 mill in actual dollars owed while carrying a $6 mill cap hit for 2 years. Defensively sound player who’s just not worth $6 mill. Strictly a cap dump. Take a Minny pick and have fun in Ottawa.
