Do your homework. They have 11,2 millions of cap space rn. Let's add 1,5 for cap raise so it's 12,7 millions of cap space with 11 forwards under contract. Add barzal 8,75 there's 3,95 left. Call up Wahlstrom 3 left. Bode wilde up so 2,3. You have 2,3 millions for 2 defenseman + 1 back up (Sorokin) which include a 7th defense

Edit : Add this to a lot of rumors around Nick Leddy being gone on Draft night

Edit 2 : If you really want Barzal, it has to be 11+ millions of cap hit

You sure about that. MB has a knack for offer sheets. A 5 yr / 50 mil offer sheet may be in the cards as well. Isles would be thrilled with the compensation picks.

The Leafs did it. The Islanders will trade one of Boychuk and Leddy, then they will look to move Ladd and Komorav.

All fair points. 5 yr / 50 mil offer sheet maybe even 5 yr / 52.5 mil would be reasonable. Very hard to see the Isles tie themselves up in so many +5 mil contracts. It would be 10 if they matched Barzal.

Definitely can be done. Just seems like pieces that Lou will have to add to for someone to take them. Toews and Pulock are also due raises.

Yeah rough year for Ghost for sure. I'm sure the Flyers would take it .. give him a 1 yr/5mil prove it contract and a chance to be a consistent top-6 forward in Philly.

don't be stunned if he offers three this year (Barzal, Dubois, Reinhart) all on his radar. Need Alzner to go to get enough cap space to do it. Devils would gladly consider for 2 early round picks.

Barzal is priority #1. Montreal would have to offersheet more than 12 mill for isles not to match. They will trade/buyout whatever players they have to in order to fit barzal under the cap. The new islanders owners want to win now and maximize barzal prime years. They are not letting another franchise center go when our new arena opens in less than 2 years

it's tricky tho. Because NYI will have like 13 millions of cap space. They can be over by 10% which give them something around 21-22 millions free for the summer. Can't really imagine them not matching the OS tbh

all fair points. The max I would consider is 5 yr. / 52.5 mill. Not willing to cough up 4 1st rounders of course, even Barzals not worth that. Man that's steep for the Isles. If they match so be it. MB would than offer same pitch to Dubois in CBJ followed by Reinhart in Buffalo.

fair. At 10.5 Mill / yr for 5 yrs as an offer sheet to Barzal that's steep for the Isles to entertain. If they match so be it. MB should than offer same pitch to Dubois in CBJ or Reinhart in BUF.

Right idea, wrong team. If Bergevin is going to blow his wad of future #1 picks, it would be for Dubois. Columbus not only has a cap problem, it has a revenue problem, too. Unlike Long Island, Columbus has among the lowest gate revenues in the league, smallest TV audience, and tight owners. Offer $9.5M to Dubois and the Jackets will take the picks. Montreal would make back the salary in jersey sales.

Kind of the same as i mentionned a few days ago. They will have the possibility to match as they can be 10% over cap in the off season.. They have approx 15 millions for PLD, JA and two G. They also have a lot of options to move a contract out or two. They are fine too.

If you really wanna OS a team --> Sergachev or Cirelli
