its not like they knew Muzzin was gonna get hurt the first game after the deadline and could make a move for it. Dubas' hands were tied pretty tight at the deadline with the cap the way it is right now. He said all along he wasn't interested in giving up roster players for a rental and their prospects are thin cause they've graduated most of them over the last 2-3 years. But he couldn't really add players with term because each team is only allowed to have so much cap committed to the following season until March 1 when that number increases by 10%. So unless it was a mediocre upgrade (Calle Rosen fits that) he couldn't do much. The big moves will come wither at the draft or in the summer as Dubas has never had a quiet off-season yet. Leafs fans just need to be patient (which they never are)
