I think DeAngelo gets more money after the career year he is having offensively.

Dont see Blue Jackets giving away a 1st, they are little bit of rebuild mode after losing their UFAs for nothing.
Especially with Panarin on Rangers, dont Columbus agrees.

I believe that columbus sees that they need some center help and they may be willing to pay

I've seen many speculations and trade proposals of ebert and georgiev for lebanc. i thought the second might be a nice addition.

I like the thinking of getting labanc but is it really worth it. For the next 6 on years we have kreider kakko and panarin as 3/4 top 6 wingers. If anything we need a 2C depending on how chytil plays.

i agree im just saying if he never takes that step he's still a good 3c i think it would be better to just get more draft capital for george.

Sharks will give you a second for Georg but that’s it. Labanc leaving would need you guys to add some kind of current or future middle six forward

with all the picks we have into this draft, trading up for stutzle or byfield sounds good. so thats a possibility for center depth

That’s a lot closer for sure. I’d be interested in a trade that looks like that

im 10 steps ahead of ya on that one. I think that should be an option explored. Throw the 1sts and george/strome/fast around and see who bites. Specifically ottawa since it looks like they are going to have two top 5 picks

Columbus does need a more consistent 2nd line center, but unless you’re willing to take Wennberg or Dubinsky then Columbus can’t afford the trade anyways.

Also Columbus isn’t going to trade a likely top 10 pick for Strome. This draft is deep enough to get a 2nd line center who’s much younger in the top 10...
