Trade with Blues at the Draft

Created by: MountRoyal514
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 26, 2020
Published: Feb. 26, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If St Louis is looking to shed salary to re-sign Pietrangelo. Blais is a good player for them but he is replaceable. Habs have 15 million in goalies but they still have cap space. Not sure if Caufield signs next season or plays 1 more year to get stronger.

You picked a couple of guys I think the Blues could/want to move but the players don't make much sense. Blues definitely don't have need of another developmental goaltender. I don't know much about Vejdemo but he's 24 and looks like he has almost no NHL experience -- probably a career AHL guy. The draft picks make sense.

I'd rather see the MTL original 2nd and 3rd rounders and a guy like Struble or Fleury.

Fair enough, I think Lindgren could be of interest merely as a very cheap 3rd/4th string goalie with a bit of NHL experience in the event of injuries since they are moving Allen out, Vejdemo is a throw-in long shot prospect but he's not critical to the deal at all. Struble is just a mystery right now so I hesitate to put him any deal, he has a very high ceiling with a lot of question marks.

Yeah, what he said. A deal could certainly be worked, but we have zero use for Lindgren or Vejdemo.
