Georgiev obviously seems like a good fit for San Jose but Strome? He makes it a lot more expensive. I dont know the Sharks situation well enough to know if it's worth giving up a first round pick.

Labanc and Strome are essentially swaps. Labanc has similar stats, just swapped this year and last. A first is steep for a backup goalie and a project.

Counter: (Labanc and Strome removed) Checkovich and a 3rd

Lol, Georgiev isn't a backup.

He damn sure can't afford to be one if we want to make the playoffs

Sharks should not be going after big money F for at least another year. Georgiev isn't worth more than a prospect + 2nd. if anything it should be Dahlen (or any other LW prospect other than Leonard) + 2020 2nd (COL) for Georgiev. Even then, I don't know if he is the guy DW should go after.

He hasn't had starter minutes and his stats are inflated by one hot streak. I'd compare him to what Talbot was like - and we all knew talbot never really took off when given a chance to be a starter in EDM. He's still a risk. Definitely not a starter - yet - but someone that is OK to job share with
