I thought I read reports where Wilson was saying next year is all about getting back into the playoffs. I think I agree with you where there is not a lot he can do and it's not like he can get the return for Karlsson that he gave. Sharks should just be bad for a few years. Sorry it's during these awful contracts to Burns, Karlsson, Jones and Vlasic but also those contracts are kind of to blame.

Exactly. I bet if the Sharks never signed Karlsson, Burns would have over 70 points right now. I seriously believe that Karlsson move single handedly put them into rebuild mode.

Yeah it was kind of a head scratcher for everyone when it happened. Also, I think another team would've bitten on Karlsson. It didn't HAVE to be San Jose. That extension though, oh man.
