Please explain. Sharks are headed straight to a rebuild. Wilson has been doing the same thing as you are right now for decades, trying to keep the dream alive. Sharks will never be a playoff winning team with their current players.

I thought I read reports where Wilson was saying next year is all about getting back into the playoffs. I think I agree with you where there is not a lot he can do and it's not like he can get the return for Karlsson that he gave. Sharks should just be bad for a few years. Sorry it's during these awful contracts to Burns, Karlsson, Jones and Vlasic but also those contracts are kind of to blame.

Exactly. I bet if the Sharks never signed Karlsson, Burns would have over 70 points right now. I seriously believe that Karlsson move single handedly put them into rebuild mode.

Yeah it was kind of a head scratcher for everyone when it happened. Also, I think another team would've bitten on Karlsson. It didn't HAVE to be San Jose. That extension though, oh man. And yeah I bet Burns would be killing it, same with Karlsson on say NYR or something. Some players need to be the #1 offensive Dman to be excellent, look at Barrie. Killed it on Avs, super on and off on Leafs

The onus is on the goaltending hands down for why this season is garbage. As for the karlsson trade, it was meant for us to go all in last season. Obv injuries down the stretch put a damper to that. The only bad thing about the resigning is the cost of it. Shocked he got over 10.5, but
