Depends on the draft and if there are any cap casualties that they can take advantage of or possibly be the recipient of a team that misses the playoffs/early exit that wants to shuffle things up.

Not have Milano on the 4th line, iirc that's where he was in CBJ, and why he got traded essentially, and don't run that defense at all,
Lindholm-Manson
Guhle/Larsson/Mahura-Fowler
Guhle/Larsson/Mahura-Guddy
Then maybe sign a backup, and take on some cap dumps (as Jah said)... Allen maybe (we could use a backup, STL would probably pay a mid pick to move him, his deal is only 1-2 yrs after this, smart move both ways imo)

Use some of the excess to try to get a solid RD, or draft one.

Give the kids another year to develop, maybe see if Zegras can make the jump, then go all in once the Backes and Guddy contracts come off the books, and Getzy comes down to $5-6ish on a one or two year deal.

Sonny is obviously ANA's new #1 LW. I mean...based on his debut performance, this kid is clearly on pace for a 50 goal campaign!!!

Re-sign Derek Grant.

Make an offer to Dylan DeMelo.

Consider making an offer sheet for Eric Cernak.

Use this year's draft pool's unusual wealth of right-handed defense prospects to stock that position pipeline for the foreseeable future (maybe make a trade to acquire another second-round draft pick to do so).

Pretty good ideas. I could maybe see them trading up for Drysdale.

I don't see that as a sensible move. Anaheim suffers from two shortcomings: weakness on the right side of the defense and offensive firepower. The Ducks rate to pick somewhere in the 5 to 7 slot, barring an unusual number of lottery winners. So if Drysdale is gone by the time the Ducks pick, they would still have the opportunity to draft Alex Holtz or Jack Quinn or another high-quality scoring prospect.
