If we do i think our forward core gets a facelift .
Domi or Tatar becomes a choice between playing them in a diminished role lowering their value or trading them

Romanov's >Mete
He destroys men with 6 inches on him with devistating hits
he's one of the rare Russians i've seen like Khovanov who's game hits a whole other level of offense on small ice.
(Romanov on big ice isnt fast enough to take risks but on small ice he's smart enough positionally and tough enough physically he can risk jumping in the play)

Marchenko makes more then that in Russia so why he'd leave his family to be a 15-16 minutes guy when he's getting 18-20 now doesnt add up.
especially when his current team is the best in the KHL today

its like offering lets say Bortuzzo a shot at playing on a non playoff KHL team for less money when he's on a contender

The downside of winning the lottery is Montreal fans will have to continue to put up with Marc Bergevin as their GM.

We definitely rely trade a winger for a good young RHD if we win the lottery. I’d start with Tatar and see what we can get.

Throw in a Sergachev offer sheet and we’re in a much better place, we would still have Caufield developing and an abundance of LHD to develop as well.

Tatar becomes expendable and with another year left can get you another 1st in 2021+.
Drouin has to stay on the LW and perhaps they do something to finally find the #1 Center they have been lacking for the last 20 years. Whether it's trading Tatar, Domi or Petry; all of which gets you a good return back.
Surely MB can't screw that up......(Please no comments on the MB note)

1st I never said Mete > Romanov
2nd rumors coming from Russia that Marchenko is coming to MTL, I don't know how he'll make if he's really coming over

3rd, IF Romanov AND Marchenko are coming over, they'll be playing together and Mete will play with Petry

Sincerely, lol
