How do I save this team after a total collapse in 2019-20, I know, since tyson barrie worked out so well, I should trade my 3rd best player for a tyson barrie like player but who makes twice as much and is locked up for 7 more years

Sorry bud I’m not paying 17 million a year for Marner. 11 is already way too much

More stuff you can do. Otherwise the got 3M to sign a RHD... not much to play around with.

Getting a little ahead of yourself there. I am not sure how being in a playoff spot despite losing their best two defenceman for 2 months is a total collapse.

a) why is it that so many TOR AGM's expect salary to be retained? you got yourself into a cap mess don't expect other teams to bail you out
b) not very many people thought marner was worth more than 10 mil a season, how in the world would he be worth 17 mil a season (salary plus retained EK money) ?!!?

Well according to the overdrive team and dubas himself at the deadline, maybe not making the playoffs isnt where they thought they'd be at the start of the season

Not to mention all the marner money is up front as a signing bonus
