Unless he doesn't want to sign with the Isles I dont think that lands sorokin, also dont think we are in a position to trade Ian Mitchell

I don't see NYI trading Ilya. He'll be a tremendous asset to them next year and for the long term too.

I really wonder what the trade would’ve been when people were reporting it.

Good question. IDK. It might not have been real either. My guess...assuming it was...Saad was involved.

I really don’t know the CBA very well but someone recently told me Sorokin is only eligible to sign 1 yr $925,000. Wondering if that’s why Wedin and Kubalik signed same contracts. Is there an international free agent clause in CBA outlining signing rights?

I think there is a good chance Sorokin is deal. From an Isle's fan perspective, what do you think would be a fair return?

Devils consider this deal if they don't believe Ty Smith and Bahl can make the jump.

Why would the islanders trade their future franchise goalie? Debrincat or Kubalik would have to be included in the deal for the isles to entertain it.

If he doesn't want to sign with the Islanders, like Kubalik with the Kings. That's not a slight against the Islanders, I think they're a very good team, some players just feel they're not a fit within an organization.

Like Kevin Hayes not wanting to play for the Hawks during their dynasty years because he knew his ice time would be limited and he’d be blocked by the core so he didn’t sign and became UFA.

He’s already said he’s going to sign with them

As much as Sorokin would be nice luxury to have, I think we will stick it with Crow and Mitchell is our best prospect in an area we currently struggle with. I don't think the hawks would do that.
