CBJ would probably want quality over quantity. Theyd ask for necas IMO

That's not getting you Zach Werenski, Any deal for Werenski would start with Martin Necas. And it would end there.

Nope... not even close. We’d need a solid center prospect back or Necas as part of the return, other wise we really have no interest in more defensive prospect. Columbus is one of the few teams in the NHL who’s defensive prospects are close to Carolina... Carolinas d prospects are probably tops in the NHL.

Also Necas doesnt look like he will be a centerman, Hes been too damn good on the wing, and hes only played C a few times since turning pro.

Suzuki is our top C prospect

Suzuki is our top C prospect


Most young player break in at wing and move to center after a bit. I wouldn’t be surprised if Necas played center more next year. They’d probably put him with Staal as a vet who can help guide him on the ice, Staal can also switch with him mid shift if needed.

Yeah, Carolinas D core is all young and they still have some good d prospects like Bean and Keane.
