The ceiling is still higher on KK, people seem to forget he's roughly 11 months younger than Tkachuk and currently dominating the AHL as the youngest player in that league. He was drafted and everyone agreed, the team included, that he'd be a 3-year project. I don't think we can judge that pick just yet.
At the time, I agreed with the Drouin trade, MTL needed and still needs offensive skill. But, we sure as hell could use a LD playing beside Weber right now...
To Drouin's credit, earlier this season he was the best player on the team before his injury. So, we'll see what's what in October

No Doubt, KK is one of my favorite players. However they pinned themselves in a corner when they said #1 Centers can't be acquired via Trades and only drafted, therefore they drafted a Center that year and not what I believe would be the best player. Habs could have later traded for Jonathan Drouin via another avenue if he were available. Sergachev would have been an essential key piece moving forward.

Have you watched some recent Laval games? I have no issues with his play, he's been on the puck and carrying the play. Also a point per game avg. is solid in a league that doesn't produce crazy offense. There are maybe a dozen players with similar point production

11 assists is fine, but to say he's dominating play ...
anyway, he'll probably finish the season in the AHL ...
