Seider is most definitely on the team out of camp next year. There's gonna be a spot open and he's ready.

UFA signings look really good, but I'm not to sure about the trades, especially the Tampa trade.

stick him where Rutta is then. Rutta can be the 7D.

Y has already been quite involved with Tampa in the trade front. Considering Killorn is so movable, i doubt Y isn't watching.

How is Glendening on the PK? If he can help the abysmal PK that the Preds have this season, I could see a deal like this occurring. If not, I'm not sure I would want to waste the salary or roster-spot on Glendening. His underlying numbers look pretty awful too, but not sure if that is just a team-wide thing or if it is specific to him.

Hopefully a true DET fan pops by here to give that input. That's my general reasoning for this trade - to provide NSH a proper 4C and PK guy. Hard to get a sense on a team this bad on what each individual is like.

Doubt the Tampa trade happens since Killorn likely has Detroit on his modified ntc. Tampa will also match that Rutta contract easily and I think Rutta would choose remaining in Tampa with Hedman as a partner vs being a 3rd pairing or 7D in Detroit. If Tampa trades or signs another RD with term or something maybe Rutta is expendable but as of now I see Tampa's RD next year being Rutta, Cernak and Foote unless Tampa goes after somebody. I think Tampa can at least get a 2nd+ for Killorn, maybe even a 1st depending on how he finishes the year. Just my 2 cents anyway.

You're probably right, wonder where he'll end up.

Detroit has had an awful season but I do think adding Glendening would make your pk better. He has been a primarily a defensive player his entire career and has embraced roll never complains about not getting more offensive opportunities. He is still pretty quick and he is still in the top 10 in FO% among players that have taken at least 100 face-offs this season. Has a positive attitude one of those guys that is always smiling not unlike Rocco.

Cant see Tampa being able to fit Shattenkirk next year, although I think he would like to stay. Unless Tampa gets one of Gourde or Johnson to waive in addition to moving Killorn and Paquette, the room just isn't there for Shattenkirk at ~4 aav most likely.
