I would not trade away a player on an entry level deal and taking on nearly a 4 mil contract considering it's Barzal's RFA year.

isles can afford to trade a RHD prospect with pulock, dobson, and mayfield on the right side.

They have 3.2 mil in cap space before JPG's raise. Greene frees up 5 mil but Barzal is going to take the Isles to the cleaners in arbitration if they don't sign him. The Isles need to move a contract and soon.

barzal doesn't have arbitration rights. Leddy will be traded this summer. They can afford to trade for rakell and his 3.7 AAV contract.

That trade is pretty tempting. I think I just might be able to resist, but if you had a 2020 first to dangle, I wouldn't.

That's a pass from the Ducks, but not for a lack of trying I'll give you credit. Ricky is on an incredible contract and two more years so it's not like the Ducks are in any hurry to move. He has been driving me crazy the last two seasons and I'm about ready to move on from him but it's got to be for a top-4 d-man in return. There's plenty of value in this trade proposal (it'd have to be a 2020 1st though I understand the Isles don't have it anymore) but again Ricky isn't a guy the Ducks have to move on from. But if we did have to move on from him, this would be a good return.
