Is MCMICHAEL the best player in the 19 draft

Created by: Capitalfail67
Team: 2020-21 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 3, 2020
Published: Mar. 3, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hughes kappo Dach are having terrible years.(scoresheet mainly) The 3 have a total of 61 points collectively. Doubtful in a redraft that McMichael doesn’t go top 10. Haha Protas might actually have been a 1st rounder

Howmany NHL games has he played. None, so who knows but Byran is going to be great. It was a strong draft, lots of really good players

Lol imagine comparing 18-19 yr olds in the NHL numbers to a 19 yr old in junior numbers.

What a stupid idiotic take. Kakko or Hughes would have like 120 points in OHL already if you want to go by scoresheet BS LMAO.

2019 draft will either be one of the best draft classes in NHL history... or one of the biggest bust classes in NHL history. There’s so many good prospects in this class, we'll see how it translates to the NHL though.

I have a feeling 2020 class will be in the same boat tbh.

I think at this point you’re right, but Dach also gets to play with Kane a lot... though Hughes has to do it all on his own and Kakko only has Panarin, good but he’s not Kane.

I mean, Nick Robertson has 50 goals in the OHL this year, so maybe not?

Kidding...the answer is absolutely not. The top 5 doesn't change. He probably moves up to top 15 if there was a re-draft though.

No serious question. I’d love your opinion even though your team traded away 1sr round picks and players drafted In the first round for solid talent. Paying 20$ for a $10 bill is cool. smile

Most of the year he played with Smith and another 3rd liner...He had PP time but...

Imagine scoring at a 4th liner pace in the nhl or being the best center prospect coming out of juniors. 20 points is good pal

You could very well be right but I’m simply asking bc he’s been very impressive. McMichael vs Caufield at WJ I’d say McMichael looked way better. Only time I saw them side by side

Stupid takes? You said Gardner was better than Carlson and that Carlson would never has another 50 point season. Also it’s how you transition and both players are looking to be terrible NhL players. Ask yak or pool party 🤷🏻‍♂️

(I'm really low on Caufield... I have had enough arguing with the Habs fans on here for a lifetime lol)

Definitely everyone has been either worse than expected or the bar was set too high. It is still too early to judge anyone's success - however, as some people have already mentioned, McMichael has no NHL games to compare with. It's always best to wait until someone has a good selection of games before generating a unique take such as this.

You've clearly tickled a few people on this thread - this take is far from "stupid", but it is definitely too early.

I’m not necessarily high on him or actually anyone from this draft. I just made a post suggesting that McMichael could be the best player (more sarcastic) and people are freaking out a little over it haha

Not really... So much meh in 2019, it was a really really weak class, top talent wasn't as good as most, and aside from a few guys there certainly hasn't been much depth, and aside from like McMichael Harley Heinola and maybe Poulin (that's only bc I was super low on him) every single first rounder from last year is barely reaching for failing to reach reasonable expectations set preseason, and if you want to compare the two classes, Suzuki last year had 75 points in 65 games and was considered a pretty good first round pick... This yr I saw someone (I forget who, probably some idiot like McKenzie or Button or someone, but my point still stands bc they're somehow still respected analysts) rank a guy in his draft year who was PPG in the OHL on the FIFTH round

I was just asking tbh. IMO McMichael seems like the type of player that would have been taken earlier and like you mentioned every player from this draft that has nhl time has underachieved. It’s more for a discussion and to get further educated. Some people are getting beyond upset with something that could very easily possible.
