Shark fans love Simek. He has been hurt a fair bit, and also is new to the league, but from what I know and have seen, he is a beast on the left side with Burns. This is almost exactly what I was expecting.
He has 8 points in 43 games and is a (-13). Is he super physical or something? because this looks horrible from a stat sheet POV
Everyone's having a bad year in SJ from a plus minus standpoint. The fact of the matter is the Sharks are much better defensively when he's on the ice vs. when he's not. There are stats out there to support that.

Did you look at any other stats other than points and plus-minus? I don't know this guy either, but there are a lot more metrics than just those two, especially for defensemen.

I only took a quick look at this basic stats. That's why I asked if I was missing something.
Great deal for Radim. Plus/minus is a BS stat and there’s like two Sharks who are plus this year anyway. Bad goaltending and not much scoring, what can he do. He’s rounded out our pairings nicely, he’s physical and smart. I love it.
Not sure how to feel about this. In 18-19, he was a beast with an xGF% at even-strength of 55.21%, but then fell off a cliff this year with an xGF% of 46.46. For some more isolated stats, his expected goal differential last year was positive, helped out by his great defense shown in the expected goals against category, but this year has lost all that defensive prowess. Sharks must be praying that he reverts back to 18-19 form. His isolated shot heat maps don't help his case either.
