I like the BUF and EDM trades. Not sure how I feel about the MTL and TOR ones.

You are better off with Forsberg and Arvidsson.
Don’t drink the kool aid on Yamamoto. He is a pipsqueak and being lifted by the play of those around him.
Keep the core and do a soft rebuild, not an all out fire sale.

Yamamoto isn't the main piece of the trade though. Puljujarvi and the 1st are the enticing bits. Yamamoto is just sweetner, an alright depth piece.

Yama isn't being traded at this point he's on one of the hottest lines in the league...
EDIT: Also, Kailer's cap hit is super-manageable whereas Arvidsson will be difficult for EDM's current cap and especially so w/ expansion looming...
EDM passes...

BUT back to NSH...wtf??
Let's stay on TOPIC...NSH U SUCK!!

Buffalo trade: I’m down with. Ryjo at that price makes a great 2C behind eichel. Miller makes Ellis expendable for the 2nd trade and mittelstadt is an intriguing piece

Toronto trade: kapanen and johnsson are upgrades on jarnkrok and Watson. Liljegren is expansion draft exempt which makes it a lot easier to handle

Montreal: I like mete’s potential and drouin is a great player as well. Don’t think Montreal goes for it though

Edmonton: I wouldn’t trade rv barring an absurd overpay. That isn’t quite there.

Vancouver: keep forsberg

Pitts: seem like a reasonable return

What I really like though is the goal of getting younger which this team really needs to be doing. Too many older pieces and not enough young blood

LOLOLOLOL. Yamamoto is 5'8, Arvidsson is 5'9. And Yamamoto is better, cheaper and younger than Arvidsson - zero chance Edmonton does that trade anyhow.

Grab a clue. Since January 1st, when the DYNamite line was put together, they've scored 27 goals vs just 8 allowed. In the 3 games Yamamoto missed due to injury, Nugent-Hopkins and Draisaitl combined for 1 goal vs 4 against. Yamamoto is the straw that stirs the drink.

Also: being lifted up? Here are the Primary Points rates for these three players:

Yamamoto: 2.70 P1/60
Nugent-Hopkins: 2.70
Draisaitl: 2.10

Nobody is being carried here.

It's a massive overpay. Not a chance Edmonton accepts this offer.

You want to blow something up, what would be your ask from Edmonton for Forsberg?

(Edited to remove the 2nd question.)
