Zuccarello isn't going anywhere. Maybe you convince him there's a huge presence of Norwegian people in Seattle and he waives his NMC to be exposed in the draft and you bribe Seattle to take him as a good veteran presence to lead a new team, but otherwise no one is taking him.

Granlund is UFA after this season, don't need to trade for his rights. Although Nashville could theoretically sign and trade.

Hayes got his negotiating rights dealt to the flyers last summer and they signed him. Shot in the dark type of a situation but it still happens

I was referring to trading for Granlund’s rights...which would give the Wild the sole right to negotiate with him until July 1st. Im just trying to find a creative way to move Zuccarello.

I think he’s moveable IF he would waive. If he was on the open market, i have to believe a team would give him a 3-4 deal for $4-4.5 million. Dont you?

I don’t understand the point in moving Parise. I’m honestly sick of seeing it. The return is nice but is anyone aware of the potential recapture penalties that will only worsen if he gets moved? I believe this would count as next years deal? Well guess what if we don’t move him and he retires next year we have to pay 20 mil by the end of his deal. We move him and we have pay 20 mil by the end of his deal, no matter what year he retires. So we could end up paying 20 mil in 1 year where if we kept him that penalty would only be 6.5 mil.

Trade him for Granny's rights, and then not even bother talking to Granny about a new contract and let him go away July 1st. I like that idea better.
