I personally don't think it'll be as high as 86/87 mil (think the NHL's just pumping their own tires again before it's lower than expected) but I'd say the Fast deal is 1 mil too much and the Lemieux x Georgiev deals are about 500k too much both. But it's nice to know we might just be fine cap wise after the Skjei deal

So the Rangers probably need to move someone this offseason. Who do you see as guys they may move?

They technically don’t really need to trade anyone but I think they let fast walk bc I think he’ll command too much cap. One of hank or Georgiev will get moved and lias likely too

Few points:
1. Strome (based on his 2019/20 stats) will probably get more than 4.5M...thinking more like between 5 and 5.5M. A 2 year deal would be optimal- not too long a commitment and-(if youngsters puch the lineup)- they can trade him by TDL with another year on the contract.
2. Wouldn't yet pencil Krav into the lineup yet...sounds like he is making progress- but several that have seen him in person (albeit fans- not NHL insiders) have commented that he still doesn't look NHL ready.
3. We'll hear from Hank after the season- that will dictate how the goalie situation goes...will not be 3 goalies next year.
4. Staal- by any means necessary - must be removed from this team...retire (doubt it), trade (even more unlikely), buy out ( a good possibility), or on roster healthy scratch....can not see any ice time next year- and wouldn't think of pairing him with Nils.

agree on the cap. last season they were saying it would be 85 mill. 84-85 mill sounds more realistic.

Zack Kassian just signed a 4 year 3.2 mill deal. if i was fast's agent i would be asking for something similar to that. 3x3 wouldn't be out the realm of possibility. i don't think i love it as a rangers fan, but fast is valued by the coaching staff.

If ADA is moved across from Trouba -which would be realistic if Nils is ready- then I really hope they sign a stop gap LD for 3rd pair across from Nils....guy will be overburdened enough coming to a new country, playing on a smaller ice surface, in the best hockey league in the world....last thing he needs is to have to adjust to is also carrying Staal...Claesson will be UFA- could be a cheap , yet defensively capable place holder until Hajek, Rykov, Miller, or another are ready to make the jump to the big league.
