Yeah you honestly think a 70-90 point guy is worth so little. Get real Barkov would cost you way more then this. Honestly this is nowhere near being realistic Barkov is pretty much untouchable as far as Tallon is concerned.

I could see Florida making a bold move. But trading Barkov should be their last option. And while that package isn't nothing, it should hurt a lot more than that to get someone like Barkov.

Two blue chip prospects with huge upside and cost control and a likely top-20 pick for what could be two years of Barkov? (Not to mention the cash savings the owners ask for) You’re the one to get real here
Other traded star players have gotten less with extensions right afterwards and Barkov have two years left after this season so contract extensions cannot be discussed

If Tallon deals Barkov that's pretty much telling the Panther fan base that they're heading towards full blown rebuild there. And yeah sorry two blue chip prospects while nice don't help Florida in the short term. Tallon will want NHL ready players now not later.

At least you acknowledge that Florida gets good assets
This package would hurt a lot for many teams, but NYR are of the few with abundance of young assets and picks to trade
A recent top-10 pick (Kravtsov)
A steal player a few days from eligible to the draft after where a lot of people agree he would been top-10 (Chytil)
And another 1st in the 15-20 range (most likely)
Not many teams can give that up

Chytil already plays in the NHL and are top-3 in U20 goals in the league
Kravtsov is as close to ready as can be

Where’s Puljujärvi gonna fit? Kreider, Panarin, Kakko, Kravtsov, Buchnevich, Fast, Gauthier, Lemieux. Too many wingers already

Lundell is the best option.

2 roster spots available:

Panarin-Zibanejad-Kravtsov
Kreider-Chytil-Buchnevich
XXX-Lundell-Kakko
Lemieux-XXX-Gauthier

Too little experience in the middle for my taste considering next year should be all about the playoffs

Still not getting you one of the youngest top pairing RDs in the league though. Why would Tallon even remotely entertain that idea? You'd need to at least include DeAngelo in the deal Tallons going to want at least a RD in return.

I have No problem including Deangelo if that’s the problem
Florida would rather have a stay at home D, too much offensive defensemen already

No. Barkov is arguably one of the best 2 way C’s in the game at 24 yrs old and almost a pt a game player. You are way over valuing what the Rangers are trading. Kravtsov “as ready as can be” has 14 pts in 35 games in the AHL, while Chytil has 48pts in 141 career games and what would be a late teens early 20’s 1st rd pick. Those assets don’t get you an elite young 1C who on top of being a pt producer has been a Selke Finalist.

Now you’re undervaluing two players you haven’t watched based on points only when they’re 20years old
Barkov may be what he is, but with his term and owner situation you’re never gonna get market value for him, heck no player is pretty much getting market value when trading for futures

It would cost you so much to get him it's not worth it. Florida won't move him unless you overpay a ton

Elite 1C’s get market value that’s why you almost never see them traded especially 24yo ones. Barkov is significantly better and younger than Duchene who was traded for Sam Girard, Vlad Kamenev, Shane Bowers, Andrew McDonald, a 1st, a 2nd and 3rd.

Love your passion but you’re off on this take and wrong to assume I’ve never seen those guys play.

Barkov...for a busted-up prospect, a late 1st round pick and Filip freakin' Chytil?

C'mon .... this is not a serious offer at all.

You’re right, unless a prospect immediately steps into the NHL and becomes a Calder nominee then they’re washed up

You do know that Kravtsov had a really hard time to adjust to the NHL, hell even in the AHL (5 goals in 35 games). He still have upside but that's gonna depend on him, and only him.

Chytil could develop into a really good 2C that's gonna be is max upside, he's not that elite.

CAR picks is probably gonna end up between 16th and 22th overall, so you could pick a good player but probably not a franchise or an elite player.

So, to recap: an elusive prospect who can't (for the moment) crack an NHL lineup, a B+ prospect who could develop into a good 2C and mid/lower tier 1st round pick

For

One of the best 2-way center in the game with an excellent offensive upside, who plays an average of 20 minutes per game, plays PP, PK and who's pretty good in the faceoff circle. Oh and he's also the leader of that team in terms of leadership.

So no, Dale Tallon's not gonna trade is captain for that kind of package

In the end there is probably no package that would satisfy FLA that any other team would part with. If FLA does look to shake things up I doubt Barlow is part of that- he’s a player to build around.
