Not bad, pretty realistic. I think we sign a LHD on the UFA market. I also think you are slightly low on the RFA extensions. Bert will get more than 4, Mantha will get closer to 7, and Fabbri will get closer to 3. With Seider up, and the potential to add a talent like Lafreniere, and with more consistent goaltending (Jimmy Howard LOL), we will be more competitive next year. Not a playoff team by any means, but we will be respectable at least, especially with a new coach.

Tyler Bertuzzi will get about 7 x 5 minimally, And Mantha either the Kreider deal 7 x 6.5 or possibly slightly higher at 7 x 7 Fabbri probably around 2 x 3 Really really hoping for Alexis Lafreniere. But expecting Rossi or possibly Drysdale instead.

Yea, pretty realistic, except I think your a little low on all the RFA contracts. If the cap moves to 88, that could actually hurt the wings I think; I was hoping they could poach a solid 2/3C from a cap strapped team like TB.

Kudos on the Talbot choice. I had forgotten he was available. Nice bargain pickup.

I'm kinda with you right on for Mantha at 6 x 6. I think if he could have played the entire year then we're looking towards the 6 x 6.5 or 6 x 7 that a lot of people seem to think he's gonna get on here. We all know how good Mantha is but let's be real, the guy has never had a 50 point season or a 30 goal season yet in his career. He's been on pace to shatter both of those last year and this year but he couldn't stay healthy, which he hasn't been able to do at all yet in his young career, so I think 6 x 6 is pretty fair. I think $7M would be an overpayment, at least right now. We have a good chance to take advantage of a tough situation for Mantha and get him signed long-term on a team friendly deal, Yzerman won't let that slip by.

I do agree with others that Bert gets more than $4M. I think anywhere between $5M and $5.5M for 5-6 years is fair for him. I also think Fabbri will get somewhere between $3M-$3.5M on 1-2 years to see if he can continue at his pace and stay healthy and earn that larger contract. $2M is too cheap though, he's earned more than that. Personally I don't think we bring Perlini back but that's just me.

I would be thrilled to get Rossi. I honestly think he will have the 2nd best career out of the players in this draft. If we get Rossi at 4 I'd be pumped. I would pass on Drysdale because we took Seider last year, and really need a game-breaking forward with star potential. I like Zadina, but I don't think he's gonna be a superstar.

Yeah i'm really starting to get pumped up on Marco Rossi, I think that kids going to be a stud. He has great poise and great vision with the puck. Not really worried about his short stature he doesn't play small at all. Agree with Drysdale after acquiring Seider last season we don't really need him. Just saying that it wouldn't shock me if Yzerman doesn't take one of Drysdale/Rossi assuming we pick 4th and Lafreniere, Byfield and Stutzle are off the boards.

I wouldn't be shocked if Rossi found his way into the top 3.

Oh me too, By the sound of things Byfield is slipping down the ranks. Depending who's ahead of us i can see #1 Alexis Lafreniere, #2 Tim Stutzle, #3 Marco Rossi, and #4 Quinton Byfield We shall see by the end of June.

Yeah, Laf at 1 is a given, but 2,3,4 is up in the air. Obviously I want to win the lottery, but it's a good year to have a guaranteed top 4 pick. Even after the "big 4" you have Holtz, Perfetti, Drysdale and Raymond. It's a really good top 8 this year, and that's not even including guys like Askarov, Lundell, etc.

Exactly, If there's any year slipping from #1 to #4 has to happen this is definitely the year. No matter what the Wings are going to get a very impactful player.
