88 million dollar team

Created by: CHUG
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 5, 2020
Published: Mar. 5, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If the cap goes up to 88.2 mill next year and the pens could put a roster like this together that would be unreal. Might be the best forward group in the league. The defense is solid 1 through 6 and two top level goalies with one of them being moved before the expansion draft or in the expansion draft to keep the rest of the roster in tact. That or pay for Seattle to take Hornqvist in the draft so that the cap space can be spent on Marino's contract and to extend Blueger and hopefully one of the prospects is ready to come and fill a role in the NHL.

If the cap goes this high you are definitely getting Hall.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Rodgriquez can make less than he gets this season. His QO will start somewhere above $2M. Again I could be wrong there.

I don't think I'd want Hall unless he comes at a cheap price tag which is highly unlikely.

There is still room even if that is true if they give him an extra 500000 they are still under the cap

When things are going well Hall is a dominate force. When he gets frustrated he chokes his stick and tries to do everything himself. I think he would be terrifying on the pens.

You're correct, Qualifying offer have to be at least 10% above the previous year salary, Say $2 million qualifying offer would need to be $200,000 so $2.2 million all together.

You're correct, they could also not offer him a QO making him a UFA, than sign him for less July 1st
