A lot? It’s not close for ekblad. He’s a top rhd with term and is still young and having his best season yet. And they’re giving up a player who isn’t living up to expectations and mid range first rounder, duclair was a bottom forward up until this year only thing I don’t know much about is pinto but he’s no d prospect so it doesn’t work in this trade at all.

I guess if you factor in term.

Still, the FLA return package looks a lot like what OTT got for Karlsson (probably better). And Ekblad aint Karlsson

Yeah No, Two wingers a C prospect a Mid-Teen 1st round pick and 2 2nds nowhere near enough for Ekblad. Tons of teams would easily beat this offer.

The only way a team beats this package is if they trade an establish player (e.g. Nylander, etc). Don't see that happening

But in terms of young pieces, not sure who beats this offer?

But he was also a free agent who possibly wouldn’t be resigned. And let’s be real. Melynk isn’t acquiring anyone he has to pay lol and Florida isn’t rebuilding like ott was who got picks and prospects. There isn’t prospects being included but pinto and like I said they need d not forwards.

Are you sure? I mean that trocheck trade was a haul for an underachieving center. He got Hoffman for like a 5th and 2nd. And that’s pretty much someone of the only trades he’s made that’s significant the last few years.
