Excellent bottom six signing. Archibald has been used essentially everywhere in the lineup and has been good in all usages. He might not get massive numbers of points, but the oilers bottom six doesn't have anybody to set him up with such opportunities yet.
Considering the typical fourth line player is costing more and more (wagner got more), this is a steal for a guy that looks decent on the 3rd line as well.

Even if Archibald drops off, this remains a low risk, good reward contract. Good move, Kenny!

Sheahan and Archibald have been major reason for the Oilers PK improvement this year. Well worth the 500k raise

EDM has been much more successful this season in large part to their bottom six depth. Last year was a real struggle and they were badly outplayed whenever their top line was off the ice.

WOW! What a great deal for the Oilers. 3rd/4th line RW that can occasionally play in the top 6 for 1.5M cap hit. Amazing!

Great signing. Hard to find fault when a guy who is versatile is getting less than $2M and has no large term commitment. Deals like this rarely ever turn into an issue, and sometimes have the ability to be a massive steal.

Nice cheap signing. I wish Pittsburgh still had him. Good physical depth player.
