You'd have to pay more to dump Gourde

Main trade makes sense though

Nope... Columbus can’t make this trade, we have 2 wins this season with Jones out of the line up... and with Savard being a pending UFA next season Jones becomes even more important. Columbus also doesn’t need wings, we need a center.

On a side note, I don’t trust Panarin’s Buddy not to get here and ask to be traded after a season, because it’s not his type of town.

Coleman can play on the RW but his natural position is LW. I would not have him out of position on the top line.

How about with a signed lockdown extension for Kucherov for 7/8 years, but countering
with Werenski, Bjorkstrand and a 1st???

Tb has hedman McDonah and Sergachev on the left so does not work for Tb. Sergachev has played on the right but plays better on his natural side

Just sign some dmen in free agency, they'd likely be cheaper then what Jones will cost to reup I'm a couple years anyway.
Getting a Kucherov level talent would be huge for the Jackets.

Who is there to sign that would replace Jones..... were you not reading when I said Columbus has 2 wins this season without Jones in the line up?

Yes adding Kucherov would be good, but would he want to stay in Columbus? Most of the other Russians wanted to leave as soon as they could... Yes Kucherov brings a ton of skill, but Columbus doesn’t need wings... we need a center. If Jones is getting traded to Tampa, Point would be the guy Columbus wants coming back.

Yes I read that, don't think that could coincide with all the other missing injured players as well though?

Idk, I just think high end scoring forwards are tough to get and plenty of teams have gotten by with less then star studded defense cores.

Yes, but if you think about the last few champions... You need either a great center core, or an elite center with an elite defence core... trading Jones doesn’t give Columbus either one of those things... Point and PLD are the makings to a great center core with Werenski from the backend.

Look at Toronto, they have one of the best 1-2 punches for centers, they struggle defensively. Columbus doesn’t have a second top center... if Jones is to be traded they need that coming back.

I think Columbus should keep their d and if they want to replace what they lost in Panarin, make a play for Hall.

Cooper does not pay attention to sides in the forwards. Kuch left handed plays right. Stamkos right handed plays left. Johnson right handed plays left often. On defense is is far more traditional.
