yaaaaa i dont think MTL would do this.....especially with the team not looking over strong right now. there is probably 2 lottery pick for sure in those 4 1st rounders.
I know it is an example but no one is give the islanders 4 1st rounders for Barzal.

good player, but not 4 1st rounders good.

Honestly, i think MB considers it. There would be the 1C he is looking for since his biceps got bigger than any humans head. Im not saying it's the right thing to do, i'm saying he might consider it.

Domi - Barzal - Suzuki (1A)
Tatar - Danault - Gally (1B)
Drouin - KK - Armia
Lehkonen - Evans - Hudon

I think there’s a decent chance barzal gets an OS, but there’s a 99.9 % chance isles match. Even if Lou wanted to take the four 1st round picks instead of overpaying barzal, the owners would step in. They’re not cheap , and they are not letting another star center go especially when Belmont opens the following season.

Your plan if Barzal gets OS is to pay essentially less to get Eichel?? flushed cheeks

Yeah i don't think Buffalo is trading Jack for very little immediate return and a bunch of maybe's 4-6 years down the line.....

I think Eichel is off the table my friend. If they move him for whatever reason, its straight up no questions asked, for the best asset any team has and then chances are you have to add on top of that depending on the team. Obviously teams like Edm and Tor for example are not applicable here.

If you're willing to pay Hall $9.5M per year, then you definitely match any offer sheet for Barzal.
