How to sour on your starter goalie after one below average season LOL sounds like a Leafs fan.

As for trade value.. 2nd/3rd and G prospect? He had one bad year. Keep the tandem.

Maybe a 1 for 1 with an A- prospect. Idrk, it's tough to tell. It would depend on the team, the prospects and picks of said team, how desperate the need ti, the cap etc.

The goalie market is saturated this summer, if PIT chooses to move him they won't get as much as most PIT fans think they will.

Next trade deadline or pre expansion draft, but why until there is some pressure too, I’m sure there is a better sell higher moment than now.

With the season Matt Murray is having, His value probably isn't all that high right now, The market should be saturated with quality Goalies this summer, Possibly Markstrom and Lehner for starters Greiss Holtby Georgiev if the Rangers move him.

The value to the pens is much higher than the value to most other teams right now. Don’t expect Murray to be traded at all tbh. I think they are going to let him and Jarry battle it out until one gets picked up by Seattle. The pens could get much more from an offer sheet than they could via a trade. So that’s why I say unless a team overpays, the pens aren’t going to trade him. So the whole mid round pick and prospect isn’t really accurate.
But GMJR did trade Kahun for Sheary and Rodrigues so you never know lol

Yeah there are two question, to trade him or not and what is his value. Sounds like you're just asking one of those two questions so not much point debating yes or no.
Because of Pen's pushes and the fact that they don't have any huge imminent needs next season (bottom pair RHD to replace Schultz?) I think they just move him for a 1st that they can use at the next deadline. It's true the market is tough but maybe on July 10th, once the dust has settled with the FAs, if someone is still short a goalie he would be next best available. There are more teams looking than available solid starting goalies.

Available Starting Goalies:
Holtby
Lehner

Teams that might be in the market if they don't sign their pending UFAs/Goalies who might be available:
Vancouver - Markstrom
Chicago - Crawford

Teams most likely looking to upgrade:
Edmonton
San Jose
Buffalo
Carolina
Detroit
Colorado
Ottawa

Team maybe looking to upgrade:
Calgary
Minnesota
New Jersey

this, I don't think Sully fully trusts either goalie enough to become a full time starter rn, and tbh, they might not get taken by SEA, look at how many more tandems there are than when the Vegas draft happened... teams are consistently running/have two, even three NHL starting calibre/similarly skilled goalies, ARZ, BOS, CAR, CGY, NYI and NYR... the days of running one starter for 70+ games seems to be nearing an end

Maybe, but they could even (say they protect Jarry) say here is Murray to take JJ or Hornqvist in the draft. I think Seattle would be more attracted to the pens tandem as both goalies are younger than any other tandem atm. Or if Seattle doesn’t pick a pens goalie and the pens keep both, multiple teams just lost theirs so the price would be much higher then lol.

I also can’t see DeSmiths not so great performance in the AHL has given management much confidence in trading either Murray or Jarry either.
