I would be surprised if Labanc and Graves got only two-year contracts, because unless I'm mistaken, that carries both of them right to UFA status. I think that for the same reason, Burakovsky gets more term.

Sorry no, sharks dont need a LHD at all. You would need to send back a first and a forward prospect

I think you are a little high on the AAV for Graves, my guess is closer to 2-2.25. Nichushkin I would guess (and I mean guess) they do a 1 yr prove it wasn’t a fluke deal and then we will give you an extension but that’s my opinion only. The only thing I’d personally change is Burakovsky on the 1st line and Mikko w/Kadri to balance some of facilitators out but that’s nitpicking. Oh one other Byram I’d pair w/Cole to start the year but I am all for getting the Byram Makar pair rolling now rather than later.

Ranta is real forward prospect, he’s a boom or bust guy in my opinion. He is big, fast, big shot but how he processes the game is the only question. A 2nd and Zadorov is worth more than a 1st.

I’m sure it is, but we don’t need Zadorov so I’d rather swap the pick to a first and upgrade the prospect to a better one

You’re not going to get a better prospect if you want a 1st. He’s probably our 4th best forward prospect(Newhook who is untouchable and then Bowers and Kaut) if you want a first you’re not getting Bowers or Kaut and a 1st.

Well then I guess a deal isn’t going to work. We don’t need zadorov so maybe you’d be better off moving him to someone else then doing a Labanc deal

Kaut makes a lot of sense here. Basically kaut can be a LeBlanc 2nd line player in a few years if he keeps projecting at his current track

If avs want to push their window to win now for next season, the moves makes sense,

Im a big kaut fan so it would suck to move him but LeBlanc takes the avs forward to such a solid level for the next few seasons under the mack contract window.

LaBanc is on pace for 40 pts, he had 56 last yr other than that he has been a 40 pt player, he is obviously a dependent player. But I can tell you is 40 pt players don’t return top prospects and 1st rd picks. My suspicion is Wilson would jump at the original trade proposal because it gives him more assets to work with.

I agree, but they aren’t getting Kaut and a 1st.

Well then dont get him. Considering the returns of Goodrow, Coleman and Zucker, I would say a first and Kaut is a bit of an overpayment, but what it would take.

You can’t use the bench mark of Goodrich and Coleman for anything. TBL over paid excessively because of their cap issues. Zucker isn’t a comp either because he’s scored 30 g in a season 20 or more 5 times. Listen I’m not knocking LeBanc I’d totally take him, I just think you are over valuing him a little bit.

I know I am, the sharks have no reason to trade him as his position is our biggest need. If your trading from an area of weakness, its going to take more incentive to do it.

I agree, LeBanc is a nice player and honestly I expect the sharks to be a playoff team next yr if Couture and everybody comes back healthy and they replaces Jones.

the only thing that may hurt the sharks with Labanc is if he does have an axe to grind with them, there was the mention of maybe some animosity since this year isnt what he signed up for, leaving all that money on the table taking the 1m contract.

If he plays hard ball with them in contract talks, might lower his perceived trade value.
