GM's will be lucky if it even gets to 84M this summer. Min cap increase would be like 82M

Isles not giving Wilde for parise. He has way too much upside. Bellows would be involved. Tbh I think the deal is dead after it got leaked out. Lou is infamous for doing things like that

Bailey’s overpaid but he’s far from useless. He’ll get more than a 3rd, if he gets traded at all

I thought the rumour was 84 to 88.2?

The deal is probably dead, but would still be fun.

I think Wilde has less value to the isles than other teams. The RD depth is too deep, no sense in having him sit in Bridgeport forever. would rather replace bailey with bellows and clear cap.

I don't think he's useless, but I have no idea what a return on him would be. I think the 5mill cap hit on a 2nd line winger is too rich for most teams to stomach. If they get more, then that's awesome.

I agree he has less value to the isles right now, but that doesn’t mean they should include him in a trade for a 36 year old winger. Wilde is likely future pp1 QB. Im not opposed to trading him, just not for parise

Thats what they announced after the GM meeting. Last year they announced at least 83M for the 2019-20 season. Obviously that didn't happen. The NHL Players Association (NHLPA) wont let the cap get anywhere near 88.2M because the players loose so much money to escrow. Also with COVID-19 making less people go to games there is significantly less income for the league. The cap will not raise that much this summer
