both trades are huge overpayments for TB and Vancouver

I hope Florida knocks Toronto out of the playoffs so you can stop annoying me with your bias

lmao what? cirelli is better then reinhart so a 1 for 1 is already bad enough for TB, johnson and the other stuff is just icing on the cake.

Vancouver will probably have to dump sutter but it wont cost a future starter and a 2nd

Cirelli's may be a hot commodity this summer and there are a number of teams interested. You're not getting anywhere with Reinhart alone.

Cirelli is only a year younger and has yet to break 50 pts on a much much better team. Im not putting him on a pedestal

yeah you got to spoon feed them this info first or they'll never go out and actually compare the 2 players head to head .
even then you'll waste a lot of time holding their hand as they wont actually read something entirely unless their names tagged in it .

These are not overpays , they make sense if you look at them from a cap dump situation .
johnson would likely waive to play with Eichel .

Reinhart would likely want more then TBL was paying johnson but less then BUF will pay for Cirelli long term.
the only area i think thats unreasonable is the term on Cirelli's deal as your undermining the need for TBL to trade him if he's willing to make a short term deal for 4m less
its kinda like entering the derby with a prize stallion and before the race starts shooting it in the head .

that you're to foolish to realize Johnsons and Sutter are a negative value in a dump situation . . . . .
usually people embarass themselves and get quiet so no one chimes in
but if your going to bring the thread into it i'll input my 2 cents

I would love to hear your input. All I get from this guy is criticism about how biased I am when I tell him the truth along with my opinion and facts to back it up. When I bring up facts that point to guys like Montour or Ristolinen being bad all I get in return is something like "thats not true at all you biased leafs fan. they are both good". stuff along those lines, I know I dont know everything but the point of cap friendly is to show off your ideas and have conversations. saying someone is good isnt a real argument at all. IMO Johnson isnt a cap dump at all, hes going to finish with around 40 points playing in a very limited role. hes very skilled and doesnt have much of an opportunity in TB, hes versatile and comparable to JT Miller who got a mid-late first in Vancouver. from what I see Vancouver doesnt have to trade sutter and if they did 1 year at 4.375 doesnt equal a very good goalie prospect and a 2nd. that would be way more then Boston had to give up to move Backes' contract. a contract that was way worse then sutters.

Weve barely talked, youve never brought facts just opinions, so far I've seen you drop opinions then piggy back on other Leaf fans who at least provided charts, i never said "thats not true at all you biased leafs fan. they are both good" yet you put quotations there

my bad I should have specified that its not just you that says things like that. most of the conversations I've had with sabers fans go like that though. the majority of the time im on my phone while on capfriendly so im not able to post picks or graphs. whenever I can I recommend people to check these things out for themselves

Yeah he's not waiving from a cup contender if he doesn't have to.

they've been a contender since he was called up and he's still been no closer to a cup then when he started

that arguments flawed anyways as Ice Time matters otherwise all these wasted years on missed cups were for nothing if you're simply ok with being a guy who's just there to collect a check and hope someone wins a championship for you

Johnson gets a chance to play with Eichel and that's still got value to a lot of players especially if they're looking at more ice time themselves

They finished third last in the league the season he was called up. Championship material right there.

I'd imagine he'd rather stay on the team that's been a constant force in the league since he's played regularity and not waive the NTC he has. If not, I'm sure he'd rather waive for a team with more promise than Buffalo.

A championship ring is much more desirable than iCe TiMe.

Better than finishing outside the playoffs for nearly a decade.

1 SC final and 2 conference finals in last 5 years. Yes, I would say it is competing.

I would make Reinhart one-on-one for Cirelli, although I’m not sure that Tampa will do it.
