I 100% agree. Nothing really appeals to me though, that Montreal would move

if we are trading for that package that we'd want Ristolainen the big FIN who could replace Petry and eat up minutes behind Weber whenever we part ways with Jeff(likely summer 2021)

Montour doesnt fit our needs as well and if we're giving up 2 players we value and a pick for Reinhart then the player coming with him better be someone we can use

nobody who's ever met him or watched him play has ever said anything like this.
they criticized his play but never personally attacked him like this outside hockey

Subban was toxic and self absorbed constantly taking penalties that hurt the team
Droun is a Winger brought in to replace Radulov after our toxic GM bad mouthed him in the media
then to punish Chucky moved Drouin to wing

Worst thing to happen to Drouin was being traded to MTL as in TBL they would have kept him at Wing and developed him right like they do all their forwards

yeah i guess i seen it as a kid growing up
keep in mind i down play that knowing how close he and his dad are .
i figured there would be an impact when they were seperated finally
Serge was at all Drouins games in Junior including Road games and gave up a lot to support his son including moving to Halifax without putting pressure on him like other parents.
Then he was ripped from that safety blanket and shipped to the states to bounce back and forth between NY and FLA

He was a french kid who didnt go to school or learn social development like the rest of us so he lashed out in a way we'd consider innapropriate .
He was at his fathers side from the time he could walk until when he was drafted and the growing pains around that were big
had Serge like most parents let his son stay with a host family in Halifax maybe he's more independent but at the same time maybe Jonathon declines without that extra coaching that Serge gives him .

i still talk to Serge here and there at games when he's in town to see a playoff game at the Wildcat's home turf
last year he was telling me Jonathon gave up on trying to get faster because he needed to put on size to protect himself .
Serge went on to say that his son didnt feel like he had the size to create space on the ice and since MTL only has 1 Armia doing so he bulked up .

I think like any home school kid you expect problems but with a homeschool kid who went from a mid 1st rounder projected to Mckinnon leaving Shuttucks early to join Drouins team he shot up the rankings to top 3 in the draft and instant fame . People forget he went from just another french forward prospect to Jesus's right hand man over night seemingly

Well guess you did not follow the situation while he was in Tampa . Bet Montreal would like a do over on that trade. And in Montreal he has never lived up to the hype or contract. Never has really meshed with linemates there. No thanks the kid is toxic

This is a straight up win for the Sabres, Habs should say no to this, There is nothing wrong with Drouin and his production would sky rocket playing with the kind of Talent that Eichel is, Rienhart and Domi are equal value and swapping them serves no purpose for either team, if the Habs have interest in moving Drouin they should be calling Edmonton about Nurse plus a B prospect

Drouin is untouchable, and this trade makes no sense for Montreal.

As a person, Drouin has been nothing but great since coming here. Anything negative you might have heard about his personality since has been manufactured by the crappy Montreal media, who seem dead set on running every player we ever have out of town.

Lol. You obviously haven’t followed Drouin at all since he came to Montreal. Pretty sure you’re listening to the wrong people when it comes to the media.

No one is beating down the door for Drouin. He certainly isnt worth Nurse. Hes broken 20 goals once in his career. I know he missed time this year but he still wouldnt have been on pace to best his previous seasons. Im certain MTL is prioritizing other players than him as well. If you want him so bad, keep him. Hes not going to bring you back anything your happy with

Exactly. People don’t want to overpay for Drouin, and the Canadiens aren’t trading him. Now can people please stop including him in their armchair trades please.

How are people that don’t follow the team and have never met him good sources on his personality?

Well, that would be a regular 1 on 1 deal Domi for Reinhart, I don’t see how other parts are being added.

We took the time to follow the circus side show that he is . If he is so valuable ? Why do Montreal fans want to trade him ? Bet you wish you had never traded for him .

Of course I’m glad the Canadiens traded for Drouin. The reason a bunch of habs fans keep trading him away is because the majority of habs fans (at least ones on the internet) are idiots. (And this might be the case for other teams, but I don’t have the firsthand experience with other fan bases) I love the team, but the fans and media mostly suck. I swear that if the habs were the most successful franchise in the NHL, and Stanley Cup champions, people would still find a bunch of things to b*tch about. Don’t worry, I hate 75% of habs fans just as much, if not more, than everyone else does.
