Because I like Swedish players on defense and depth on offense and the offense spread out on 3 lines

2 issues with the Matthews trade... leafs are getting robbed blind.... and the Yotes can’t afford him.

You traded Matthews+.... I would expect any return to involve a massive overpay plus the value of the extra players added. It’s going to be a long time before another player like Matthews comes up in the draft.

what I propose is we send our RFAs to Toronto, they front load their contract with a huge bonus in year 1. Toronto pays the bonus, the sends him back to Ottawa for an extra 1st rounder compensation
