Oh man...Couture has been one of the most consistent guys in the league for a while, but it's hard to see that contract aging well...

At the same time, he's got a modified NTC that allows him to submit 3 teams that he'd be ok being traded to...Do we really think he'd trade sunny 'ol San Jose for Buffalo?

The Rangers trade is okay-ish in value (Favors BUF a bit imo), but I'm not sure that Montour would be a guy the Rangers want back, given that they have Trouba, Fox and DeAngelo on the right side. As for the Sharks trade, stay away from that Couture contract, and he probably wouldn't waive to go to Buffalo anyway.

The real question is why Buffalo wants 2 more goalies. I see Georgiev because he can play right away but they currently have 2 of the best drafted goalies not in the NHL.

Really don't like either trade from the BUF side to be honest... we shouldn't trade our 2020 1st unless we're getting a top-6/strong 2nd line C back, and we shouldn't take on the Couture contract after giving Skinner a whopping 9 mil and still owing Okposo 6 mil for a few more years.

The top-8 of this draft looks fantastic, and at this rate we are likely to secure a spot in the top-8 of the draft (again) no problem. I'd need more than Georgiev to consider giving that pick up
