Clearly the Sabres don't see it, but I'll bet a large handful of teams would be interested in signing him for 1 or 2 years at 1-1.5 mil. I think teams will see that he was miscast/misused.

I'm guessing when the Sabres retain his RFA rights, he will want to go to arbitration, seeing how well it worked for Rodrigues last summer.

Personally, I'd have him in the lineup over McCabe at LD 10 times out of 10.

He is a solid player, but due to the incompetence of our GM (too many defenders), perhaps a coach who uses some players very strangely, Pilut has not seen so many NHL games this season.

He won defender of the year in sweden a few years ago. He has produced in the ahl but our baffoon gm thought he could corner the market on league average d, and he was the guy that could be sent down. Now that some guys got moved hes getting more of a look. Our coach has more or less made the d far better, not sure why he isnt getting a bigger look. Hes behind dahlin so he wont get pp time, so his counting numbers may never be great, but he should absolutely be up here.
