Did Markstrom do something wrong that makes him only worth $4 mil? Heck, if that’s all he’s worth, he might as well go somewhere where he has a chance or actually winning some games.

The poster does have over $16M in cap space so if you suspend reality for a moment you can then imagine that he could afford to pay Markstrom the $6.5+ that he'll actually bring in.

Oh for sure.

If I were the Wings, I'd probably go after Lehner...doesn't seem like anyone had any interest in signing him for multiple years last season, so I can't imagine that's changed a ton. Maybe something like 4 x $7 could get it done without screwing you over long term.
