Even without the NYI 1st rounder (which will likely be 15th overall) the OTT trade is horrifically lopsided . Formenton already possesses elite NHL speed and is eclipsing Bowers in both potential and points. In his ROOKIE season he is top 7 in AHL points, top 5 in goals. One for one that's a big loss for Ottawa.
And then Ottawa is getting a 3rd round pick and Johnson in return for a Daccord, a 4th and 1st (which will likely be 15th overall). NO. Swap Johnson for Makar and then there's at least a conversation starter.

Nor should you. I wouldn't either. It was my SUPER unrealistic counter-offer to the original SUPER unrealistic offer. Formenton and a 1st round pick in one of the deepest drafts in decades for a 32 year old D man and an "okay" prospect who'd be playing outside of top 6 in Belleville this year? When I see trade offers like this I like to counter-offer this way in hopes of meeting somewhere back in reality.

So much bad and nonsensical. I know he is listed as a C, but Kaut isn’t a C.

Yep. It's delusional, just like the original trade suggested. That's kind of my point.

It was a bad trade but don’t double down over exaggerating making it an even worse one with a makar counter comment

You do you but don’t get sensitive and defensive if you post an Exaggerated response that opens you up to these sort of mocking responses.
