Could probably shave a $100k or so off of Ho-sang. He can be given a league minimum 2 way contract, no one is going to offer sheet him since he already cleared waivers this season and most GMs seem to know he's a problem.

That having been said, absolutely no chance the cap is actually $88.2m. The NHLPA isn't going to approve the full cap escalator since that is only going to increase the amount they lose to escrow. It will likely be around $84m and I wouldn't be surprised if it's under despite Daly saying what the projected range is.

I'd be surprised to see Pulock sign for $5 x 5...

Also, as @JayTea said, there's just about a 0% chance the cap jumps to $88.2. Even with the NHLPA approving (Doubt it), the whole Corona virus thing is going to have some owners pooping their pants.

I was thinking about it last night though, and I had originally though "Meh, trade Leddy", but it might honestly be worth it to trade Pulock's RFA rights...the haul that the Isles get back from him *should* be outstanding. You've still got Boychuk for a couple seasons, and while Dobson might not be 100% ready to step into a top 4 role, he'd have enough support with any of Leddy, Pelech or Toews, that they should mitigate most issues that might arise.

Not 1 RFA signed an 8 year deal last year, do you really think Barzal is? Decent chance he takes a Point like deal

Trading Pulock would be the biggest mistake the Isles made since trading Chara.

Fair, I'm just thinking about the potential return on it hahaha. I just can't imagine him signing for 5 x $5, so I'm trying to figure out ways around it.

Players that should be gone next year:

Bailey
Leddy
Komarov
Martin
Dal Colle
Kuhnacakal
Greiss
Hickey
Ladd (If the attached asset is not too much)

Bellows- Barzal- Eberle
Lee-Nelson-Wahlstrom
Beau-Pageau- New 3rd Line RW (Maybe Leddy for Connolly in FLA)
Johnston-Czizkas-Clutterbuck

Pelech-Pulock
Toews-Mayfield
Greene/ Edmundson-Dobson
Boychuck (Maybe on LTIR)

No because the cap wont be any higher then the current $84 million posted? Plus you're still 3 players short it's a 23 man roster not 20 man roster. And you would've zero cap space here. So something has to give Leddy for one probably needs to go.

I highly doubt it. A few things would need to happen.

- Barzal takes a very friendly bridge deal.
- Pulock takes less than market value.
- Ladd gets sent to Robidas Island
- Varlamov gets bought out (his buyout is very friendly but not likely)

I think we can keep Bailey, but everyone else agreed. I like your lineup, but I don't want Johnston playing every day. Leddy for Connolly is interesting. I wonder if the Panthers would give up on him just one year into a four-year deal.

I do not want to keep Bailey. He needs to go.

Boychuck is more likely to go on Robidas Island than Ladd. He cannot fully open his eye right now so it is unknown if he has any vision loss, and for a guy that slow to also not be able to see his career would be over. Ladd has showed he can still wants to play, you cannot Robidas Island him. And it is sad that aside from his awful shootout attempt he was better last night than half the forwards.
