what i think Bergevin will do

Description
I think Bergevin will try to do something like that ans frankly i kinda like it
- Kovy has good chance to resign after what he said and what bergy did
-Romanov is nhl ready and is likely to sign this summer
-With all the pick we made in the past 2 years i dont mind trading a 2 for a guy like woods who is young enough to grow with the core
- we need a good 2nd goalie, i put Dell there but i could be anyone decent that has nhl experience
-If we start the season with the roster we have enough depth to have injuries imo

As someone who wants MB to rebuild by trading Petry, Tatar, etc and not keep trying to win now, I would be fine with this scenario as it is not sacrificing any real future while improving the team. I like it!

IMO, if Bergevin starts the season without trading some of their expiring UFA's it will be a mistake. He should have traded them at this past deadline.

I think we're all expecting one piece to move this summer. Bergy's MO has always been the summer, it's pretty rare to see big trades occur at the Feb deadline.

I rather like this scenario, I would be fine with moving a 2nd round pick for a serviceable bottom 6 player (If it is that STL pick).
The only thing is don't think KK is staying out of the lineup. So that roster would have to change.

In this kind of case, where MTL is relatively quiet over the summer, should MTL go all out for a second goalie? with the cap space left. Why not offer a Crawford or a Lehner 6-7 million for a one year deal. I'm not convinced Dell Aaron is a solution

Yeah like i said in the description, i put Aaron Dell just to show i want a goalie but you could put any ufa goalie at their price

I Would've like to trade tatar, etc. But this scenario is what i think is most likely To happen, you can always trade tatar at the deadline

Sure you can. There's always the risk of him getting injured though. And you also won't get as much for him then as you would now.

My problem in most Habs AGM's these days is that everyone is leaving out KK & Poehling. Honestly, it's very likely KK will be back in NHL form next semester. So what do you do then, stick him on the 4th line? I mean, even Domi on the 3rd line is underutilization, since he's worthy of 2C duties. Habs are in a bit of pickle.

I hope he comeback in NHL form but this scenario is what i think will happen not What i would do.
That being said, if KK seems like he is a no brainer next year you can move pieces to make that happen
