I'm pretty excited for Beaudin, I think his game will translate much better to the NHL than the AHL.

A saw him a lot when he play in Drummondville. Such a smooth skater, the only thing that was very bad on is game was is strength. He was loosing a lots of one on one battle, i don’t know if he have improved this year in Ahl. Have you follow him?

I don't pay to watch AHL games, and from what I've heard he has felt the AHL curve as well as any young defenseman. I get most of my info on the IceHogs from Mario Tirabassi, and he's been unspectacular, but not bad.

Can't wait to see him tonight.

I will certainly watch the game too. Montreal was very hyped about him a the draft i remember. They try to move up for him.

It’s always harder for defenseman turning pro. The game is so much more structured at higher level and defenseman have much more responsibility. Chicago have a bright futur on the left side.

I’ll be honest, the only concern I have with beaudin is Colliton. By proxy, his strength is also a little concerning with Colliton as his coach. Colliton expects a more physical approach from dmen and I really hope we get a new coach (and GM) before that might possibly be a detriment to him.

Otherwise, I’m very excited to him tonight.

But even if he would stay another teo season in ahl to develop that would be a disaster. Duncan keith is the best example. He gained experience and learn how two play well defensively in his 2 season in ahl. From what i have seen in the qhjml he wasn’t nhl ready, but he is a exciting player for sure. Strength was my concern back then we’ll see tonight

Oh I definitely wouldn’t mind if he took another year in the ahl! That’s a great idea if anything for him to get stronger and maybe a little tougher. However, it still stands to reason that I fear how JC deploys dmen. He needs to let the cuffs off guys like boqvist and beaudin. Let me make those mistakes and show them how to learn from them!

I have actually liked the path Boqvist and Beaudin have taken to the NHL. I don’t think there is anything wrong with “Beating” the junior out of them in the AHL. (This is good prep for the NHL, where defenders need to think D before O unless you are EK or Burns.)

I think Boqer really put a lot of emphasis on learning a two way game, and that has helped him become a main stay in the NHL. I think Beaudin could use another year in the AHL to develop his habits further, but again I am really excited to see him tonight.

I actually wish boqvist would have spent last year in the SHL instead of the OHL. Could have gotten the same treatment and training as pettersson. Plus, like this year, he would’ve been playing against adults.
