Why would Johnsson get the better return when Kapanen is significantly better?

Marleau isn't coming back he cost them so much just to get rid of him last summer
Ceci is most certainly not returning. If he were to return to the NHL it would likely be at league min
I'm not sure who would be interested in signing Simmonds to 5 years. A lot of hard miles there

Of the three players you're trading away Kapanen holds the most value, not the least.

Of all the pretty bad stuff I've seen proposed in this AGM, the worst has go to be bringing back Cody Ceci. There should be no scenario regardless of money (or lack thereof) that Cody Ceci finds himself on this team next season.
