It's hard to see why Barzal would sign that OS to begin with, he'll have OS options if he's interested but Islanders will more than likely match anything without question other than top tier 4 1sts, I'll politely disagree on Montour being worth more than Kapenen, Montour is a low 4 D option with mediocre numbers who is due a contract and will likely command more than he's worth where Kapenen is low 6 winger who is signed and still has a fair bit of upside

Why does Edmonton do this deal? I don't think it makes them better now or in the future.
