Counter offer:

Morand+Dostie+Silfverberg+4th for Rielly (50% retained). I included Silf because he's better than Johnsson, and Rielly is better than Manson...this works, right? Doesn't look at all ridiculous, right? Meets the needs that your team currently has, right?

11-7 is the way to go but theres no reason to sign barrie. Holl is probably better and costs way less. Anaheim probably will want a bit more for Manson and IMO theres no need to sign Clifford

Get over the notion that the cap will be that high, The rest of the season and playoffs are pretty much history. If anything the cap will be lower then it is now not higher.

I agree about not wanting that deal but let’s not put Rielly in the same conversation as Manson lol.

considering the kase trade, i dont think dealing with your GM would be too hard, kase is better than manson imo

i guess im in that odd group of people that really likes barrie, hes also very good friends with matthews, so i factored that in as well. i just have a hard time giving up a 40+ assist right handed elite PP quarterback, they dont grow on trees.

and imo there is a reason to bring back clifford, the toughness he brings has a massive effect on the team. they seem to have that extra jump with him in the lineup, for example kapanens play has been increasingly more feisty, as well as matthews. ive seen matthews throw more hits since the clifford acquisition since he entered the league, can we please stop acting like physicality is irrelevant in todays game, it sparks the bench.

i think muzzin is significantly better on the offensive side of things, probably equal defensively. idk, i dont think bob murray is too hard to make trades with, considering the kase return. he took a cap dump for a first line play driver. kase is significantly more valuable considering age and potential opposed to manson, and he didnt necessarily get a good return for a player of kase' caliber.

Your fellow Americans still aren't taking the coronavirus seriously, including the the moron in office.

Glad to see you are tho. And I think you are right, the cap won't be that high.

hahah, I was just trying to show how foolish the trade offer was..."Here, take this bundle of players that fit exactly zero of your team needs, and we'll take the dman that our team really needs!".

Kase: 24 years old, 7 G, 16 A, 49 GP-Career: 97 P/.474 PPG
Heinen: 24 years old, 7 G, 15 A, 58 GP-Career: 107 P/.467 PPG
Andersson: 20 year old RD prospect that the Ducks needed, B to B+ prospect
Boston 1st rounder: Late in high quality draft
Backes: Cap dump, 1 year left at $4.5

Oh yeah, they got absolutely shafted on that one...

Maybe because it was just posted on twitter? NHL season is suspended indefinitely.
