If Matthews wants to take less with a heavy salary structured contract than yes it could work. 73m is where they spend to normally. As cap rises that number rises much more slowly as revenue share comes in.

Guess McDavid and Stamkos are signing in Toronto eventually because they see their family there and even train there in the off-season.
